This year Computrols was delighted to be able to hold its annual Distribution Partner Summit in person at our Gretna Headquarters.

In late 2019, the team responsible for maintaining the property at 2201 West Plano Parkway recognized they were in a problematic situation. Their legacy CSI I/NET system was beginning to fail, potentially affecting both their HVAC and Access Control systems. The Computrols Dallas team was called in to help assess the situation and develop a comprehensive plan to move forward.

The Serial Connector is very flexible in terms of its communication capabilities, where it can be installed, and what data it can bring into your building automation system or expose to another system via BACnet.

For the past year our team has worked diligently to combat the challenges presented to our organization as a result of the global chip shortage. There is not a day that goes by where we are not faced with a fresh issue related to the availability of the raw materials/components required to manufacture our products…

The Computrols booth displayed an array of products but none more popular than the recently BTL-Listed LX and the soon-to-be-released Serial Connector. Computrols CEO Drew Mire added, “we’ve been known for our integration solutions for over 3 decades, and we are excited to continue to innovate on this front to provide customers a viable pathway from old, proprietary systems.”

Mike began working for Computrols before the company is what we know it as today. The first version of CBAS had just been created in DOS, and Computrols was primarily servicing third-party systems.

Although we were all hoping to leave the pandemic behind this year, we saw great improvements in 2021, and at Computrols, we continued to push forward and have a great year despite some challenges.
