Building automation system manufacturer Computrols has added BTL Certification to their recently released Serial Connector.

Computrols Serial Connector

The Serial Connector is ideal for building automation integrations. Due to its versatile design, the Serial Connector can be installed virtually anywhere. Small yet mighty, the Serial Connector has 3 independent rs-485 communication channels and supports over 50 proprietary and non-proprietary protocols. The highlight feature of the Serial Connector is the ability to route any of the hosted rs-485 channels over BACnet IP. As with all Computrols manufactured hardware the Serial Connector is designed and manufactured in the United States and boasts an unprecedented lifetime warranty.

Manufacturers are required to successfully test their products with a Recognized BACnet Testing Organization (RBTO) and maintain a Product Listing in order to use the BTL Mark. These organizations conduct rigorous independent testing to confirm that products correctly implement a specified set of BACnet features. Computrols is thrilled to have met all requirements for the Serial Connector.

Computrols CEO, Drew Mire stated, “We are very pleased to have the Serial Connector carry the BTL Certification. BTL Certification has become the leading standard in the industry for certifying BACnet compliance, and we are excited to have this validation for both our customers and distribution partners.”

Computrols Building Automation System

The Serial Connector is the latest controller to join the Computrols robust family of Direct Digital Controllers (DDC). All Computrols manufactured hardware is complimented by their user-friendly interface known as CBAS (Computrols Building Automation Software). In October the company celebrated their 39th anniversary and continues to be a steadfast leader in building automation innovation.
