Getting to know the Technology Pavilion at BOMA International

The BOMA International Conference is one that building owners, managers, and their vendors look forward to every year. This year, our nation’s capital will play host to thousands of property professionals looking to learn and network to ultimately improve facility management as a whole.
Perhaps one of the most exciting areas of the exhibitor floor this year will be the Technology Pavilion. BOMA debuted the Technology Pavilion in 2013 as an area to “showcase the latest building technologies, systems, data management solutions and business tools to help property professionals create and sustain high-performance assets.”
This year’s group of exhibitors will provide attendees with new technologies and insights to manage buildings more efficiently through their cutting edge hardware, software, and services.

What attendees can expect at our booth: Engaging with some very dedicated and knowledgeable commercial and residential life safety specialists! We focus on helping reduce building owner/manager personal and corporate risk and liability and increasing life safety for all who work in, and visit, our Clients’ buildings.
In our booth, attendees will have the opportunity to experience having customized building life safety plan details, eTraining, and rapid mass communication – all role-specific – in the palm of their hand with eVAC(TM), our customized smart app.
For regional or national managers responsible for corporate risk management, our ePlan Corporate(TM) provides ‘dashboard’ and details views of building portfolios, highlighting any buildings that may be out of fire code compliance (emergency planning). Having easy access to this information allows managers to quickly assess and act, reducing potential exposure and risk to their company, owners, and shareholders. We’re truly driven by life safety; powered by innovation.
What we are most looking forward to: The opportunity to reconnect and interact with the industry and colleagues we’ve served for 35 years in some exciting new ways! Our clients tell us that building tenants and occupants are becoming more aware of the importance of being active participants in their own life safety, too. oneEvent TechnologiesoneEvent Technologies | Booth #1412
oneEvent Technologies’ Sentinel Operating System (SoS) alerts property owners at the very first sign of a potentially catastrophic event (fire, overheated power source, water main break, etc.), preventing an incident from occurring while enabling building owners and managers to drastically reduce loss and risk.
What attendees can expect at our booth: We’ll educate building owners on the revolutionary nature of oneEvent’s SoS. Unlike a fire or security alarm system that is reactive, alerting only after an event has occurred, the oneEvent SoS uses predictive analysis to warn ahead of time. It connects to edge devices such as smoke detectors, presence monitors and entry sensors to detect subtle changes in temperature, humidity, motion and other factors, storing this data in the cloud so that it can be accessed in real time before, during and following an emergency event. The system is especially effective during building construction or alteration when standard life safety systems such as fire and security are not present or have been deactivated.
What we are most looking forward to: We often witness “a-ha” moments with building owners, insurance companies, those in the fire protection field and many others when they’ve visited our booth at trade shows and we explain how our system works. They quickly realize the power it has to save lives, minimize loss and simply make life easier.
