Building automation system manufacturer Computrols has added a BTL Certification and the ability to route proprietary protocols as BACnet IP points as add-on options to an already feature-rich LX Controller.
The LX Controller has been one of the most dynamic and robust pieces of hardware in the building automation industry for the last 4 years. Boasting an unprecedented lifetime warranty, the LX provides installers and users supreme flexibility with its software-programmable universal I/O and unique two-piece board design.

In large facilities, mechanical systems are often very complex and need to work efficiently in order to be effective and not waste energy. The equipment controlled by building automation systems (BAS) frequently includes that of HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, and access/security systems.

When Computrols began manufacturing in the early 90s, we made a conscious decision from day one, to always include true universal inputs and outputs on our flagship parent-level control boards. The way our founders saw it, if we chose to restrict the total number of points to a combination of

4-20mA to 0-10VDC Conversion When working with Analog Inputs, sometimes you may find yourself needing to work with a 4-20mA device. These devices can be powered from an external DC voltage source or the LX controller itself – please refer to the label on the controller for wiring diagram examples.

“In all of the years I have been using Computrols, the outcome has always been the same: Energy savings and efficiency. If you install Computrols and can’t save a significant amount of energy, as well as run more efficiently, you are doing something wrong.”

As the world slowly begins to re-open in recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, people are more aware than ever before of the potential dangers they face as a part of virus transmission in their daily lives. At this time, facility management professionals are tasked with making the buildings where these people live, work, learn, and play safe in a very uncertain environment. So how do we prepare for the “new normal” we live in today?

None of us know what the future holds for us as we return to “normal” over the coming months in the COVID-19 recovery process, but one thing we know for sure is that our lives will never be the same.

What do the lights on the LX controller mean? Most Computrols hardware products include various LEDs – these lights can be very helpful in providing visual feedback of various controller conditions and the status of communication channels. The LX controller features several differences and improvements over the X-line with regards
Simply put, Computrols provides the most economical-to-own building automation solution on the market today. We empower our users by providing robust yet simple solutions that allow our customers to largely manage their building automation systems in-house.
