Computrols is delighted to welcome Oldach Associates of Puerto Rico, as the newest member of the Computrols distribution partner family.
In 1955, John Oldach moved from Chicago to Puerto Rico and founded Oldach Associates LLC. Originally, the company focused on the pharmaceutical market, providing HVAC units and components to mechanical contractors, technicians, designers, and consultants.
In 1987, Giancarlo Brito purchased the business and grew it from $250,000 per year in revenue to over $60 million as of last year! Oldach Associates is now the leading wholesaler of HVAC units and components in Puerto Rico and also serves the US mainland with locations in Orlando, Tampa, and Kissimmee.
Working with designers, Oldach was starting to get requests from solar panel customers that wanted to take more control of their building automation system. This, coupled with a desire to expand their revenue streams, prompted Carlos Santiago, VP of Sales & Engineering to start looking for their own line of controls. It was important for Oldach Associates to offer a unique line of controls as an alternative to the run-of-the-mill options.
This led to Oldach Associates discovering Computrols at the 2020 AHR Expo. What stood out to their team was Computrols’:

In Puerto Rico, designers dictate what controls line goes into their projects which means that customers end up with whatever system is chosen for them. Now that Oldach Associates is involved in the design and specification of projects and partnered with Computrols, they are confident they can offer a robust solution that empowers their customers.
Their first Computrols project is already underway, and with Oldach Associates’ existing customer base in hospitals, commercial real estate, government, and educational facilities, both Computrols and Oldach are looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership.
