Computrols Awards Season
2018 has started off with a bang for Computrols. In January, the company was named to the inaugural class of UNO25, and CEO, Drew Mire, received the Young Guns Award at the Control Trends Awards.
Computrols CEO, Drew Mire, and Owner/Director of Research and Development, Mike Donlon earned the company a spot in the first-ever class of UNO25, both having graduated from the University of New Orleans. Mire graduated from UNO in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in business management, while Donlon earned both a bachelors and masters from the university. UNO25 recognized and celebrated Computrols as one of the top UNO-led or UNO-owned businesses.
The 2017 Control Trends Awards were held January 21, 2018, in Chicago, ahead of the AHR Expo. In addition to Computrols being a finalist in a number of categories, Computrols CEO, Drew Mire, was named to the 2017 class of Young Guns Award Recipients. Each year, this award identifies a handful of the young movers and shakers in the building automation industry.
Simultaneous Presentations
On March 21, Computrols’ Drew Mire and Bryce Jacobs will be speaking on the topic of machine learning in HVAC controls in Baltimore, MD while Computrols’ Mike Donlon will be speaking on optimal virtual metering in building automation in Boston, MA.
Drew and Bryce’s presentation begins at 3:10pm ET at the NFMT Conference in room 324. The pair will be discussing how smart building control systems are on the cusp of utilizing machine learning technologies to reduce operating cost and provide significant value to building owners, property management, and building engineers. This presentation will introduce these new computer techniques and show how they are being applied in the HVAC industry.
