Static Pressure Control and VAV Operation

Andrew BuchananStatic pressure is a key ingredient in a successful Variable Air Volume (VAV) system. It ensures that air flow will be available to enable the VAVs in a system to achieve their designed Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) at maximum demand. Simply put, the push of the air must be greater than the resistance to the flow or no air will circulate through the ducts. Typically the setpoint for static pressure is determined through the course of the testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) at the end of a job. Custom LED Controls Shed New Light on The Future of Office Illumination

A set of custom-made, surface-mounted LED lights have recently been installed in Computrols’ new manufacturing facility in Gretna, LA. At first glance, these lights seem more or less ordinary, but below the surface lies massive potential – the ability to learn. While the concept of adaptive lighting is not exactly revolutionary, the efficiency in which it is employed is rapidly advancing. New Computrols Dealer in Far East: IETCO

Drew TrainingComputrols’ VP of Operations, Drew Mire, and Senior Account Manager, Mike Harper, recently returned from a successful trip to Malaysia where they visited our newest international dealer, IETCO.

Drew and Mike spent most of their time training the IETCO team on Computrols automation software, the controllers and also supporting them in their most recent project in Kuching, Malaysia. Computrols’ Building Automation System (or CBAS) is slated to be installed in the Moyan Square Mall, which is currently under construction.
