Servers
Any number of servers can be programmed into the CBAS-Web database, allowing a single point for monitoring and automation of many different installations of CBAS.
Accounting Module
CBAS-Web provides a complete invoicing solution for all tenant utilities including executive summaries of tenant statistics (usage, cost, percentage). Figures can also be rendered in color graphs for quick review with the optional CBAS-Web Accounting Module. There's even an optional link for tenants to view invoices online thereby saving time and money on billing tasks.
CBAS-Web users can choose to export data to Microsoft Excel or print invoices for mailing via printer-friendly PDF layouts. To ensure secure record keeping, complete invoicing histories are retained throughout the lifetime of CBAS-Web.
Access Policy
The CBAS-Web database is structured around a number of basic data types that describe who has access to what. Views are a collection of points, and groups are collections of users. CBAS-Web uses this organization to improve simplicity of use and ease of administration.
Because CBAS-Web's access policy is set on the group level instead of the user level, greater efficiency in designing the policy is achieved. If a new point is added to the DPU, it can be added to the appropriate view (or views) where it should appear. Any user that is a member of a group with access to that view will automatically have that point appear under the appropriate view when they log in. Similarly, if it is decided that a group of users should have access removed or added, the whole group is updated at once.
Another feature that makes access policy assignment more fluid is that the administrator can reassign users to different groups at will.
