How do I Address an AC1?

Note: Before you address an AC1 know that this will bring your entire access system down.

To address an AC1you must first identify the Trunk and IRQ address that the AC1 is on. You can check on this by going through the hardware editor.

After you know the trunk and IRQ you can set the jumper on the AC1 from Normal to Service and the light on the board should be yellow.

Now run ‘Service.exe’ on the DPU. Select Setup and enter the IRQ and base address. Baud rate should be 9600. If you are using 232 then you set the duplex to half, if you are using 485 set the Duplex to full.

Next go to configure. By default, any AC1 with the jumper set to service is address 254. Change the 254 address to your desired address.
