Why am I receiving History errors?
Usually due to a power failure or lockup during a history write operation, archive.mdb can get corrupted.
The 2 fixes are:
- Rename the archive.mdb and archive.dat files (located in the database folder) and restart CBAS. New copies of the files will be started and past histories will be gone.
- Open the mdb file with MS Access and it will repair the file.
More info:
What is the purpose of the archive.mdb? Do I need to move it as well, or is just the archive.dat file sufficient?
The Archive.mdb is the access database file. It holds all of the indexes into the archive.dat. Yes, you need to copy it when you do the Archive.dat.
Neither one is any good without the other.
