How do I change an Opto Controller to a Basnet TCP/IP controller?

  1. Start by creating a BASNet CI1 Channel in an empty (not the final) location.
  2. Using Utility Mode (..cbas.exe /mode=utility), go to SYSTEM â–º CONTROLLER AND CHANNEL MAINTENANCE â–º COPY OPTO CHANNEL TO CNET CHANNEL. Select the original channel, and then choose the newly created channel.
  3. You will now have two channels with the same controllers on them.
  4. Erase the old OPTO channel by going to DATABASE â–º REMOVE A CHANNEL.
  5. Add a new BASNet 485 over TCP/IP channel on the Host or Secondary ports of the Internet Controller you wish to configure.
  6. Go to DATABASE â–º MOVE A CONTROLLER. Select the BASNet CI1 Channel to move from and the BASNet 485 TCP/IP to move to. Move your controllers to the relative position they are in.
  7. Delete the BASNet CI1 Channel by going to DATABASE â–º REMOVE A CHANNEL.
